What are the Benefits of Full Spectrum Infrared?
Near-infrared
The near-infrared frequency is the shortest, but it is unique in that it is not absorbed by the body’s water. This means it can reach the deepest and raise your core temperature. Near-infrared light speeds up the metabolism of cells, the production of proteins (including collagen), and the activity of antioxidants, which means that the cells clean themselves out. It also lowers inflammation and pain while at the same time making cells grow and repair themselves.
Mid-infrared
This wavelength helps with pain relief, circulation, blood flow, and weight loss. Additionally, water molecules absorb mid-infrared wavelengths, which briefly improves circulation through vasodilation. This leads to a rise in blood flow, heart rate, and metabolism as a whole.
Far Infrared
Far-infrared is the wavelength that is most like the infrared heat that our bodies give off. The main benefits help with detoxification, relaxation, lowering blood pressure, and losing weight. It is easy for the body’s water molecules to soak up far infrared light and release its energy. At about 9.4 microns, our bodies actually give off far-infrared waves. We briefly feel more energetic because far-infrared wavelengths feel very natural and normal to us.
